If you have ever heard the girl choristers sing in the beautiful surroundings of Wells Cathedral, you will have marvelled at the standard of musical excellence they achieve. Choral music is a spiritually enriching experience.

Whilst both the boy and girl choristers continuously strive to achieve these high standards, girls remain disadvantaged by the lack of financial support. At present this is only granted to the boys.

To provide the opportunity the girls deserve, the Wells Cathedral Girl Chorister Trust needs to raise £2 million. This will generate income to provide bursaries equal to those received by the boy choristers from the Cathedral Chapter.
